Welcome to Crocodile Creek—a family business with big ideas. We’re on a mission to make the best, smartest, greenest, most fun kids’ stuff in the world.
Our company started small, but it always had reach. Crocodile Creek began as a one-man business that brought wooden toys from Europe to the states, the entire operation run out of a studio apartment in New York City. That was 30 years ago.
Since then we’ve evolved into a fully-fledged maker of all things kids love. We make puzzles designed to spark the minds of young problem solvers. We make playground balls to get kids out and play the old fashioned way.
Each product we make is a kind of brainchild. We dream it up, draw it up, work out the kinks. We oversee the manufacture and the packaging. At Crocodile Creek we love doing things right from start to finish.
Which is to say that we take the business of fun seriously. Example: The question of whether to put a stegosaurus or a robot on a new front cover is the sort of thing that’s liable to turn into a passionate debate. This is one reason for our success. Another reason is we’re parents, too. If our kids don’t give the latest playground ball or puzzle the thumbs up, we rethink it. They’re our “target demographic,” after all.
And because we’re parents, our interest in safety isn’t just good business—it’s personal. Extra attention to design, materials and fabrication ensures that everything we make meets or exceeds global safety standards. As a result, Crocodile Creek’s safety rating is one of the highest in the industry.
